Havoc is an athlete talent agency specialising in Hyrox and CrossFit, representing competitors who operate at the extreme end of physical performance. When approached to develop the brand identity, the brief was clear: create something that stops people in their tracks. Bold, uncompromising and dynamic. A visual identity that could hold the weight of the sport itself.
From the outset, the ideation focused on typography as the primary vehicle for that feeling. Rather than relying on iconography or illustration, the logo needed to communicate through form alone the same way a Hyrox athlete commands a room; solely through their presence. Early sketches explored heavy condensed serif letterforms, drawn with deliberate weight and sharp structure, arriving at an "H." monogram that carries a sense of finality and force. The period was an intentional choice, not a grammatial or design mistake: a full stop demands attention, signalling confidence and finality.
