THE BRIEF

Box is a newly established company with the ambition to revolutionise the design industry across multiple disciplines from graphic and product design through to architecture and film.

The brief required an AI-integrated physical device capable of rapidly identifying fundamental design elements such as typefaces, colour palettes, and visual genre, removing the need for manual research and significantly improving studio efficiency. Built with the designer in mind, the device was to prioritise ergonomics, tactile quality and purposeful design.

MY ROLE

Working from a client brief, I developed the full Box brand identity from concept through to a complete set of brand guidelines. This included the design of the logotype, logomark and brand lockup, alongside a clearance and minimum size system to ensure consistent application across all touchpoints.

I established the brand's colour palette — built around a core black and white system with a bold orange accent — and defined the full typographic hierarchy across display, serif and body typefaces. I also developed the brand's iconography system, creating a suite of directional icons derived from the logomark to maintain visual cohesion throughout.

All elements were compiled and documented into a comprehensive set of brand guidelines intended to govern the brand's use across both digital and print applications.
